The parents (Jermyn was the minister of the local church) and two older children turn up at Campsea Ash in the 1851 census but by the 1881 census there is no sign of the parents and the children are scattered.
Edward Roger, then aged 33 and unmarried is living as a boarder at Ryston, Norfolk, England with his occupation recorded as "B A Trin Coll Camb J P Co Norf (Farmer Owner Of 3500 Acres)".
The 5 daughters are all unmarried and living at Beaufort Gardens, Kensington, London with their occupations given as Annuitant (They would have been receiving a pension or insurance)
